1. Source-code and IP ownership. Is the finished agent delivered to your own repository, or does it live inside the vendor's platform where you're renting access indefinitely?
2. Real technical depth, not just the word "AI." Do they have a live, checkable example of what they build — an actual MCP server, an actual RAG search — or only a description of the concept?
3. EU legal jurisdiction, if that matters to you. A company registered in the EU operates under GDPR as a baseline, not a bolt-on for one client. Check the actual registered entity, not just a ".eu" domain or European-sounding name.
4. Pricing transparency. Published ranges you can check yourself, vs. "talk to sales" for everything.
5. References from real, contactable clients — not testimonials on their own site. Ask what the agent actually does, how long it's been running, and what happens when it's wrong.
